The nickname of the case shape given by G-SHOCK fans to this time piece as its case shape resembles certain models from another brand.

CARBON CORE: These models offer an attractively thin configuration. They inherit the octagon form that was employed for the original DW-5000C. Analog-digital timekeeping comes backed into a no-nonsense simple design without sacrificing G-SHOCK level toughness. High strength resin material which is reinforced with carbon fibre makes it possible to create a case that is only 11.8mm thin - the thinnest amongst the G-SHOCK models.

Inspired by the ocean sparkling under the summer sun the dial of this watch appears to change colour depending on the angle of the watch. The dial features a silver toned dial with silver and luminescent toned hands and white toned hour markers. The dial of this watch features dual analogue and digital display. The case of the watch is made from white resin and measures 40.2mm wide. The look of the watch is finished off with a matching resin band.
